2026 Whole School Photo Day Monday 11th May

We are excited to announce that school photos are now available for ordering. Attached are the ordering instructions and all orders must be completed online via the Elite School Photography website: https://eliteschoolphotography.com.au/ prior to the photo day on Monday 11th May using the login code ESP202515.

To ensure that there is a consistency across all photos regarding the wearing of the school uniform and that our formal school photos represent both your child and the school as best as we possibly can, we have asked that all students are in the school’s Winter Uniform (see above). Students who normally have sport on that day are asked to wear their full school Winter Uniform.

We are aware that there are several families that will be away on extended holidays. The photo catch up day has been booked for Monday May 18th with only siblings (family and individual photos are taken.

OUR PASSIVE PLAY AREA

The Passive Area at Resurrection has been huge success for our students who require alternative play spaces.

Our Passive Play area contains many different play ideas, and the activities are chosen based on student interests. The school yard can be overwhelming for some of our students at different times. The Passive Play space also assists students who are having a challenging day, need social connections, emotional support or just prefer a quiet, more passive space to play.

Passive Area is supervised by a staff member but led by our wonderful and committed Passive Play Leaders (PPL). The PPLs are students from year 5 who have generously volunteered their services during their play break and building their leadership skills.  The PPLs were trained on how to work with the students who attend and have specific duties to carry out.

SUNDAY GOSPEL

Fifth Sunday of Easter - Year A

‍ ‍
Jesus said to his disciples John 14:7-14

"Do not let your hearts be troubled.

You have faith in God; have faith also in me.

In my Father's house there are many dwelling places.

If there were not,

would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

And if I go and prepare a place for you,

I will come back again and take you to myself,

so that where I am you also may be.

Where I am going you know the way."

Thomas said to him,

"Master, we do not know where you are going;

how can we know the way?"

Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me.

If you know me, then you will also know my Father.

From now on you do know him and have seen him."

Philip said to him,

"Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."

Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time

and you still do not know me, Philip?

Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.

How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?

The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own.

The Father who dwells in me is doing his works.

Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me,

or else, believe because of the works themselves.

Amen, amen, I say to you,

whoever believes in me will do the works that I do,

and will do greater ones than these,

because I am going to the Father."
