Resurrection Catholic Primary School operates with the consent of the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne and is governed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS).

MACS oversees and operates 292 Catholic schools throughout the Archdiocese, continuing the mission of Catholic education: to proclaim the Good News and equip our young people with the knowledge, skills, and hope to live meaningful lives and enrich the world around them.

Education is a shared responsibility involving every member of the Catholic school community. To strengthen this partnership, School Advisory Councils have been established to serve as vital links between the wider community and school leaders.

This governance model was created to reduce the administrative burden on individual schools and parishes, allowing parish priests to focus on their educational mission within the parish. It also promotes greater collaboration between schools and ensures consistency in policies and procedures across the system.
