FOR PARENTS: SCHOOL ATTENDANCE

At Resurrection, we are committed to providing your child with an excellent education. A key foundation of academic success is consistent, daily attendance.

Regular attendance is vital—missing even a few days can significantly affect your child’s learning and future opportunities. There is no safe number of days to miss; every day counts.

We strongly discourage families from taking holidays during the school term. Please plan any travel during the school holiday periods. If unavoidable, we encourage scheduling term-time holidays as close as possible to the end-of-term breaks.

If your child must miss school due to extended leave:

  • Please inform both the school office and your child’s class teacher in advance, providing details of the leave in writing

  • The teacher, in consultation with the Learning & Teaching team, will prepare an Extended Learning Plan. Parents are responsible for ensuring this plan is followed during the absence (Please note: The Extended Learning Plan is designed to support your child’s learning but cannot replace the rich, face-to-face experiences that occur in the classroom every day.

If your child is absent for any reason:

  • Parents must notify the school via the absentee line at 03 8312 6312, option 1

Thank you for partnering with us in prioritising your child’s attendance and education.
