STUDENT WELLBEING: POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING

At Resurrection, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. To support this, we follow the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework and the values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility are used to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students..

PBL is a whole-school approach that promotes positive behaviour and helps students understand expectations through clear teaching, consistency, and encouragement. It focuses on recognising and reinforcing the behaviours that support learning and wellbeing.

Through PBL, we aim to:

  • Build a positive school culture

  • Support student wellbeing and resilience

  • Improve learning outcomes

  • Promote respectful and responsible behaviour across the school

Our students are explicitly taught school-wide expectations and are acknowledged for demonstrating positive behaviour in both classroom and playground settings.

We believe that when we work together—students, staff, and families—we create a thriving school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.
